With more displacement is the 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder available on the Legacy 2.5i, Outback 2.5i, and Forester 2.5i models.
For buyers looking for a turbocharged engine, there are two BOXER® engines to choose from. The first is a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat four-cylinder available on the WRX and Forester 2.0XT models. Next, is the most powerful engine in the Subaru lineup, the turbocharged 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder rated at 305 horsepower. This strong engine is only available in the WRX STI.
Finally, the largest Subaru engine is the 3.6-liter flat-6. It comes equipped with a Dual Active Valve Control System for powerful, smooth performance. It is available on the Legacy 3.6R and Outback 3.6R models.
